It’s always nice to play rock & roll music for 50,000 people!

The Neurotics performed for the Vancouver Sun Run for the 17th year in a row (no kidding – the band has been playing there since the first time they brought music to the event!) It was a blast as always. The lineup for the show included Dirty Dilly, Muffy, and Bongo Neurotic. When you’ve got 50,000 people to please, you need to be able to pull out a wide range of songs. The band performed everything from Elvis and the Beatles to Lady Gaga and Maroon 5. Once again we got to hang out with various BC dignitaries but we were strictly forbidden from touching their bottoms this year so we only did it a couple of times.

So much going on in the world of the Neurotics it’s hard to keep track. Here are a few tid-bits of news:

  • Bumpy Neurotic has been travelling all over doing shows (even pretending to be a member of Bon Jovi sometimes.)
  • Dilly Neurotic’s secret funk project is making big noise in venues everywhere.
  • Dirty Neurotic just wrapped up a deal with a big-wig publisher to put out his new novel (post-punk noir cover band mysteries, anyone?)
  • Bongo Neurotic is bringing his trademark drumming to CCR shows and Johnny Cash tributes galore.
